Microsoft Teams
Connect Microsoft Teams so new conversations open a thread in a Teams channel, and replies in the thread reach the customer.
What it does
Teams is the third notify platform. The Sellio bot posts each new conversation to the channel you choose and relays replies back, so a support team that works inside Teams can answer from there.
Before you start
- Permission to add apps to the Teams team (the team owner, or a tenant that allows members to add apps).
- A channel in that team for support notifications.
Connect it
- 1In Sellio, open Settings, then Integrations, and choose Microsoft Teams.
- 2Click Connect Teams and sign in with the Microsoft account that can add the app; approve the permissions. You return to Sellio with the team connected.
- 3Under Notify in, choose the channel that should receive new conversations, then save.
- 4Start a test conversation from your website widget. A message appears in the Teams channel; reply in its thread and the reply reaches the visitor.
ℹ
Tenants that restrict third-party apps need an admin to allow the Sellio app in the Teams admin centre before Connect Teams succeeds.
Once connected
- One thread per conversation, kept in step with the inbox both ways.
- Replies in the thread are sent to the customer and shown in the Sellio inbox as agent messages.
- The same conversation can be mirrored to Slack and Discord at once.
- Sellio keeps one active install per Teams team.
Connected channels count against the plan’s channel limit (one on Free, three on Mini, five on Essentials, twenty-five on Plus); see Plans and billing. Disconnecting a channel keeps its past conversations in the inbox.
What teams use this channel for, and how it compares, is on the Microsoft Teams page.
