Channels

Every channel you connect lands in the same inbox, and a reply goes back the way the message came. The website widget is on from the start; the rest connect from Settings, then Integrations.

Overview

Two kinds of channel. Customer channels are where customers write to you: the website chatbox, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram and email. Each message from them opens or continues a conversation, and your reply is delivered through the same channel. Notify platforms are where your team already works: Slack, Discord and Microsoft Teams. They mirror new conversations into a thread and carry replies back, so a teammate can answer without opening Sellio.

The website chatbox needs no connecting beyond the install snippet; see Installation and The chatbox.

Connect a channel

One guide per channel: what to have ready, the clicks, and how conversations behave once it is on.

Channels in the inbox

One list
Conversations from every channel sit in the same views, each with its channel's mark. Filter by channel from the inbox header.
One reply box
You reply the same way whatever the channel; Sellio formats and delivers it for that provider. Attachments go both ways where the provider allows them.
One contact
A person who writes on two channels with the same email is one contact with two conversations.
Reply windows
WhatsApp and Instagram only allow a reply within 24 hours of the customer's last message; after that the send fails with the provider's reason shown on the message.

Plan limits and AI

  • Website chat is on every plan. Email, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, Slack, Discord and Teams start on Mini. Each connected channel counts against the plan's channel limit: one on Free, three on Mini, five on Essentials, twenty-five on Plus.
  • The AI agent and the customer-message automation triggers run on website chat only. A message on WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram or email waits for a person; assignment, notes, tags and tickets work everywhere.
  • Disconnecting a channel stops new messages; its past conversations stay in the inbox.
ℹ
Provider tokens and secrets are stored on the server and never shown again after you save them. If a provider rotates a token, the channel card shows an error and asks for the new one.
